Everything that glitters are the same color in the same light conditions, the same temperature. A red light (as part of the stove in the kitchen well) is lit at around 1250F to give, take, or 50f. But if you seemed to drip pans so hot, the temperature is no problem. well below 1000F.

If it were me, would I get the replacement pan, preferably stainless steel. Problems are not too expensive, and not (most of the risk of confusion with spray paint and I can not imagine that resists the paint is too cheap 1200F).

I do not think that the spray paint is a good idea at all, even if it aims to withstand heat. There is no room for laundry, hot foods ruin the end and look for "good" initailly no longer than a few weeks, then stay with half-painted collection container ugly.
