Hips And Thigh Of A Cat How Do I Decide When To Put My Cat Down?

How do I decide when to put my cat down? - hips and thigh of a cat

My 14 years. old cat has a tumor on her back and thighs. The vet said he had experience with radiation therapy or chemotherapy because of their age, the more it can not really afford the treatment. We have two alternatives - the amputation if the tumor does not spread or euthanasia. She suffers from arthritis in the hips and is a great cat. Amputation would give him no weight on the hip, which set on foot, and it is painful for them. My vet is down slope to euthanasia, and it seems that my only option is to put. How to decide when, where? She is eating, drinking, dealing with us, so it feels good some discomfort in his leg swollen, but they go away to sleep directly on the sofa - as they ran freely in the pastThus, since arthritis. Should I round until he more signs of distress or indicates what? It's so hard!

It is a decision only you and your landlord can decide.

You know the cat. You know, the personality. They know what is normal and what is not, and you know where it usually behaves and cause damage.

If they do, what to do in his heart. As many have said: "If you love something, it freely."

If you think your cat is suffering from too much, euthanasia is ultimately the choice of the man. However, if you move back and eat, drink, and communicate easily with you, you can still life left in it.

Ultimately, he can do what your heart tells you.

To express my deepest condolences and hope that your cat has a peaceful manner with the love of you and your famAIA, to her, comfort her when the time.

I feel your pain!

My cat had a litter of kittens 1st She loved him so much! I stayed with him and everything! I started to notice he was getting older and it was time to go to the bathroom and did not. We try to massage, as they stretched. His rectum rose red and painful. I took him to the vet. I went with the idea that it was a few days while the operation is performed on the anus. But to my surprise, she said that her anus never fully developed, and the only human thing to do to put them to sleep. (Actually, I am writing in tears ... since last summer) So after all the tears and the tears that I cried, and finally agreed on was leaving my angel Logan! I still wondermuch as a man who had to do, I saw the cat is softer and more tender than I?

This is really one of the hardest things I had to do. Most people say ... only a kitten .... before. But there is another cat in the world or want to be my Logan!

He has the power! What is best for your cat ... what is best for you, because you do not feel the same pain, hear or feel when you release the mouse button ...

Frankly, I think Logan will be when I die .... And if you think you will see strentgh and I thank you for your love and kindness.

Good luck in all your decisions!
Good Bless Your Baby Cat!

until he feels comfortable, can not put down. when it begins, signs of the tumor and / or arthritus is too much for them, then you are doing to show off.

Lots of good advice here. Another thing to remember is that cats tend (and dogs) to hide their pain, so that it may be difficult to know whether they can cause pain. Only you know when it's time. I have a cat myself so far 14 years with no problems.

Good luck!

It is still too early. Recently, I had let a cat to go 17 years because of cancer of the jaw. The cancer had taken over the last month and was in danger, jaw, and the fraction that would be extrememly painful for him. Previously, he was homeopathic treatment and the tumor did not eat very slowly - with the law, no weight loss such as cats interfere cancer, and had no pain.

How is the quality of life, the sounds of your love and care as if it still hangs there and will make the best of a bad turn of luck in his life.

You really know when it's time for the way it works. You can come fairly quickly and let me go as long as you are and how the administration and the ca.

If she has cancer does not feel guilty, unable to go to extremes in the treatment for them and for them. I was in the group of cat cancer more than a year (I have another cat) with bladder cancer. Sometimes surgery can "cure" and not always. Amputation is not finally so dramatic for a chat and some limited mobility of arthritis can be treated with medication, if this is a complication.
It is taken as hard and difficult decisions - you certainly have my understanding and sympathy with which to cope with the difficult and necessary decisions that have to do to you.

Open your heart to listen, what did you say your life force. If you listen with your heart, you know where your discomfort is greater than it is to continue to suffer in exchange for more time with his family.
It is to bear their responsibility to prevent pain, but if the pain is greater than what they want to help.

seems to be old and overweight, in order to amputate the leg, but it happened .. with diet and exercise may be able to recover himself ... But if you're a man at rest, the best thing you can do when your life is no longer habitable ... I put my 21 years, Siam Bandit after liver failure due to the sleeping cat food ... but if they become lethargic and not eating or with the litter box on the right side, unable to communicate with family and so ... try to a veterinarian for older animals, which can sometimes appear sometimes as geriatrics .... Meaning older animals but I feel the pain and wish you good luck with your pet ...

Euthanasia is a difficult, but as you said, your vet is not their only option. Depending on the type of cancer. Cats can not very well on 3 legs and a drug weight loss and a little help your arthritic cat may have a few more years on this issue.
If you have decided that euthanasia is the best, I would rather have done before, and because she avoids the pain. It is a way to make this kind of Mortal Coil, only an overdose of anesthetic is your cat go to sleep literally. Death is always difficult for the survivors, but the suffering that is preventable, the best thing we can do for your cat. If you have a couple of days to get used to the idea that she seems to want to do but with the inevitable Morand pain in the long run.
I think it is probably due to the fact that 14 is a good age and conscientious enough to feel accountable for your cat to be considered.

If the animal is in pain, its time to kill, I know it's not easy, I had to put my 13 y / o Chow three years, but the best for the animal.

We have our dog is 16 years old this summer. We discussed what to do, because it is the development of arthritis, but it felt good most of the time, eat and interact. Then, one day, lay down and not get up again. We knew that it was time to put down. We took him to the vet and he agreed with us. I think you know, this cat is the best of all and the vet is not the decision for you. Allow the cat to suffer, but you have to decide what is best for them. Sorry for the kitten.

So we had our cat down from 17 years ago. The vet did not, the decision is yours. The cat is old and treated or amputated parts has no meaning, is the quality of life here. His latest comments all say the cat is active and will remain an OK time we talked, you know, when it is time, in their eyes one day and I let you know, but now love it and enjoy it, your time is short.
